Having always had a great love for live rock n blues my mates and I decided in 1995 to form the Barnsley Rock and Blues Club. Having secured the Polish Club in Barnsley as our base we booked our first band in Feb 1996 ( The Dusty Miller Band ) and have never looked back. Today we are the best dedicated venue for rock n blues in Barnsley and have bands playing here each Fri, Sat and Sundays. Over the years we have made many friends in the music business and have had many famous musicians play on our stage. We are a medium sized venue with a capacity of 200 and have a raised stage with drum riser and some basic spot lights. At this point in time we do not have an in house PA but we are hoping to get one in the future.We are proud to have hosted many charity functions and have helped raise thousands of pounds for good causes. Along with this site we also run the www.myspace.com/barnsleyrockandblues site and also you can find us on FACEBOOK.
